Unlike other firms, Mariner-Gulf produces policies and procedures that are company specific and meet third-party requirements as well as governmental regulatory standards such as OSHA, MSHA, BSEE, ANSI and ASME. Mariner-Gulf services all stages of account management including prequalification, MSQ and SSQ completion, up to and including monthly maintenance with a guarantee of 100% acceptance.
Mariner-Gulf maintains a nationwide incident investigative team which incorporates seasoned investigators, as well as legal counsel when necessary. We ensure workers compensation forms and claims are handled with extreme attention to detail and follow-up care is performed so that an injured employee can return to work, fit for duty, as soon as possible.
Case management is a two-fold approach, understanding how to help the injured employee and understanding OSHA and its importance to clients.
Mariner-Gulf’s cadre of instructors teach by the motto, “You do not rise to the occasion, you descend to your level of training.” Mariner-Gulf’s internationally recognized training staff offers a variety of OSHA, NFPA and ANSI based courses designed to meet regulatory standards. To assist in defraying costs, Mariner-Gulf is an approved provider for both SEBT and IWTP grants. Mariner-Gulf specializes in acquiring and managing grants offered by the state of Louisiana for both small (companies less than 50 employees) and large (companies greater than 50 employees).

The Mariner-Gulf team is a highly trained, skilled, and experienced group of professionals that has advised and represented clients across multiple industry sectors in navigating OSHA inspections and investigations. Our team represents clients in response to investigations, citations, and claims under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act), enforced by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and defend our clients in OSHA-related administrative proceedings and litigation in federal and state courts with partner employment law firms.
Our team can deploy nationally within 24 hours for immediate on-site presence in response to catastrophic workplace events that may result from explosions, fires, collapses, electrocutions, and other workplace accidents, resulting in serious injuries and illness, amputations, hospitalizations, and fatalities.
During entry into a permit required confined space, especially during turnaround periods, the risk of accidents is higher. It is extremely important, for the safety of personnel and for the company that preparations are made for worst case scenarios. Mariner-Gulf offers seasoned and expert permit required confined space rescue teams to fit every scenario, including IDLH atmospheres. Whether it is non-entry, vertical, horizontal or rescue under supplied air, the Mariner-Gulf team is prepared to respond. All rescue personnel are also trained in Medic First Aid and CPR.

In the wake of the Deepwater Horizon (BP Oil Spill) disaster, the federal government created a specific agency to provide oversight to offshore oil, gas and sulfur operations on the Outer Continental Shelf. This new agency, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) quickly sought to work with industry to reduce accidents in process safety. BSEE required all operators to develop a detailed Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) to reduce the potential of procedures or equipment that could result in major incidents, material spills or releases.
BW Offshore, engaged Mariner-Gulf to write and develop the first of its kind program for the BW Pioneer, the first FPSO to operate in the Gulf of Mexico. Drawing from OSHA’s Process Safety Management standard, SEMS replaced API RP 75 with a required 18 elements. Mariner-Gulf’s technical writing team produced an industry leading safety program that included the following elements:
