PEC Safety discovered there was a need within the midstream industry for a standardized orientation. PEC Basic Intro to Pipeline was a module developed to enhance PEC Basic/10, PEC Basic Orientation, and PEC Core Compliance for the midstream industry. This module will provide workers with the additional pipeline information necessary to help bring workers home safe.
PEC Basic Orientation is the most widely used safety orientation in the US onshore and offshore E&P Industry. Accredited by both SafeLandUSA and SafeGulf, this one-day safety orientation can give your employees both credentials.
In a comprehensive one-day instructor-led format, PEC Basic Orientation meets API RP 75 & API RP T-1 requirements and provides a basic understanding of general safety information at an awareness orientation level.
Offered in two formats, PEC Core Compliance covers over 40 of the most requested health, safety, and environmental (HSE) topics. Core Compliance meets full training in 29 HSE topics while meeting awareness level in an additional 15 topics. Accredited by both SafeLandUSA and SafeGulf, this course has an annual refresher to keep student’s certifications up to date.

PEC Core Refresher is designed to renew PEC Core Compliance certifications. When administered annually, this one-day program will ensure workers are up to date and compliant with the training requirements on all health, safety and environmental topics covered in PEC Core Compliance. Students will review important HSE topics that will refresh their understanding of the terms and practices necessary for a safe work environment.
The PEC Gold Shovel Module is an instructor-led course that brings students through the Gold Shovel Standard Program. The PEC Gold Shovel Module provides awareness-level safety information on excavations to reinforce worker awareness of hazards they may encounter in their workplace and strengthens student knowledge of various practices to mitigate those hazards. Students will be shown how to find and apply necessary legal documentation for excavations and state-specific legislation regarding hand-digging and tolerance zones around underground utilities.
Once the Instructor-led components are completed, the student will be assigned nine (9) online CBT courses within PEC’s eLearning system. The 45-minute courses will cover the following subjects: Hazard Communication; Lockout Tagout; Welding Safety; Occupational Noise; Exccavation and Trenching; Forklift Safety; Cranes and Rigging. SafeLandUSA and SafeGulf components are Instructor-led.
PEC H2S Clear was designed to improve employee safety for general industry workers who may potentially come in contact with hydrogen sulfide in the workplace. This program meets the revised standards set forth in the ANSI/ASSE Z390.1—2017 and incorporates all of the benefits of a PEC Safety standardized training program. PEC H2S Clear will provides students with crucial knowledge of the dangers of H2S and the precautions, tools and controls necessary when working in potential H2S environments.

By creating the first standardized safety orientation for the construction industry, PEC Safe Construction, we have developed a sturdy foundation for companies who will utilize our orientation to help develop a safety structure within their organization. PEC Safe Construction is a multi-functional orientation that can be utilized across any industry where construction is present.
This one-day orientation will provide general construction safety information that workers need to know before entering a company facility or site and while performing their assigned work duties. Students will learn about the Focus Four and other hazards they may encounter in their workplace and become familiar with various practices to mitigate those hazards.
PEC Safe Supervisor is a leadership course designed to provide an introduction to a supervisory position by defining the roles and responsibilities of a supervisor. Safe Supervisor gives current and potential safety leaders the foundational knowledge needed to perform at a supervisory level, taught by safety industry experts. This course includes key aspects of a supervisor’s job, including continuous crew assessments, communicating effectively, implementing change, dealing with difficult workers, and mitigating hazards.

SafeGulf has expanded its requirements to now include SEMS training, and a number of owner clients recommend that workers and contractor personnel have SEMS training before entering a workplace. Thousands of students have been trained by utilizing our DVD, Instructor Resource CD-Rom, and Test Answer Sheets. The program has now been updated for SEMS II 30 CFR 250 Subpart S.
Upon completion, all students are automatically entered into PEC’s Advanced Training Tracker where your company’s clients and auditors can view proof of employee orientation.
